We were delighted to return to Wakehurst, part of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, to bring their Nature Heroes: Seed Seeker nature trail to life. Created in collaboration with National Geographic Kids magazine, the Nature Heroes: Seed Seeker trail offered an immersive experience designed to empower young explorers to become champions of biodiversity and custodians of the environment.
The goal was to create an opportunity for young adventurers to develop real explorer skills while learning about the vital role seeds play in preserving biodiversity. Inspired by Wakehurst’s vision of a living laboratory, the Nature Heroes Academy aims to ignite curiosity, encourage active participation, and foster a deep connection with nature.
To bring Wakehurst’s vision to life, Two Tails Productions designed a suite of engaging interactive elements. These included code-breaker games where guests operate giant dials, a true-or-false maze that guides visitors through Wakehurst’s Pearcelands Wood, and oversized custom-made props, such as a giant walkie-talkie with pressure-activated audio that kicks off the adventurer’s journey.
All high-quality, durable installations were seamlessly aligned with the Nature Heroes brand. Two Tails also took the lead on IP approvals, project management, fabrication management, event signage, health and safety compliance, outdoor installation, maintenance, and specialist derig.
The Nature Heroes Academy activation was an overwhelming success. Families flocked to Wakehurst, drawn by the opportunity to engage with the beloved National Geographic Kids brand while learning valuable skills and gaining meaningful environmental insights.
Through thoughtful design, engaging activities, robust health and safety execution, and seamless delivery, Two Tails Productions created an unforgettable experience for both the client and guests. The Nature Heroes Academy has now become a cornerstone of Wakehurst’s family-focused IP offering.
