For the third year running, Two Tails Productions delivered MurphyFest, and this edition had a very special reason to celebrate: 75 years of Murphy.

Designed as a thank-you to Murphy’s staff and their families for their part in reaching this landmark anniversary, MurphyFest welcomed around 1,500 guests for a full day of food, music and fun in the grounds of one of England’s most spectacular castles. Our brief was to create a festival with something for every age, while making sure the significance of the 75-year milestone shone through.

MurphyFest was one part of a year-long programme marking Murphy’s 75th birthday, alongside roadshows across the UK and Ireland, multiple events at the company’s London headquarters and the inaugural Acorn Awards ceremony, all produced and managed by Two Tails Productions.

Guests were greeted with welcome drinks before diving into a funfair complete with a helter-skelter and dodgems, large-scale lawn games, face painting and a dedicated children’s area with activities running all day. Seven food vendors, a full bar and pop-up bars kept everyone fuelled, while the main stage served up live music from a country and western band, a seven-piece brass band and a family DJ. Branded festival dressing, a selfie station and a display of Murphy vehicles brought the company’s story into every corner of the site, all delivered by a 30-strong operational team across a two-day build and derig.

A huge thank you to the Murphy team for trusting us with such a special occasion once again. Here’s to the next 75 years!
