Calling all Octonauts! This Easter, Two Tails Productions sent Kew Gardens’ youngest visitors on a buzzing mission to help a colony of honeybees find a new home
Inspired by The Honeybee Rescue episode of the hit series, the trail invited families to join the crew as young nature explorers, setting out across the Gardens in search of honeybees that had lost their hive.
Along the way, a series of hands-on activity stations challenged children to find the missing bees, build them a brand new hive and transport them safely home. Each step uncovered a little more about how pollination works, why plants matter and the vital role insects play in keeping ecosystems healthy, turning a springtime stroll into a real-life rescue mission.
Seeing so many young explorers set off with such determination was a highlight of our Easter. Mission accomplished, crew: the bees are safe, and the next generation of nature lovers is well on its way!
