Happy 200th birthday, ZSL! Over the early May bank holiday weekend, Two Tails Productions helped throw a party fit for a bicentenary, delivering live, interactive experiences across both London Zoo and Whipsnade Zoo!
Founded in 1826, the Zoological Society of London is a renowned international conservation charity that established the world’s first scientific zoo. Its 200th birthday, celebrated from 2nd to 4th May 2026, was a landmark moment not just for ZSL, but for conservation, education and public engagement with wildlife
Working closely with the teams at both zoos, we designed and delivered a fully integrated activation, from first ideas right through to build and install. A suite of bespoke, fairground-inspired games sat alongside a performer-led stage programme, all wrapped in a cohesive 200th birthday party overlay designed to keep families playing, watching and joining in.
Guests could drop in and celebrate at their own pace, whether limbering up with ‘Zoo-robics’ or showing off their skills in ‘Zoo’s Got Talent’. The energy across the weekend was fantastic, and helping such an important organisation mark such a significant milestone is something our whole team will remember for a long time!
